No longer have brakes in straight bar nathe so need to look for something a *bit* stronger. Not overly keen on french links. Any thoughts? These don't seem stupidly expensive :-)

nope but I love my NS we ar ein a hanging cheek. Can recommend the quality of them - you can try/rent them from the horse bit shop too.

Yes, I tried one, and found I couldn't hack out in it, and could only school i it when inside. Mind you, my mare can be bolshy, strong and is convinced that really she's the boss. So now she is sucessfully 'contained' with a NS Verbindend.
Why don't you try talking to a bit Bank?

Hmm, need something I can stop in lol! Who is the best bit bank to use?

I've just got one of these and my boy really likes it. If you ring Heather at Neue Schule she'll give you free advice and is excellent. My horse needs help with bend and this bit defiantely helps with this. My advice is give her a call and ask her, she's very nice and extremely knowledgable - and it's free.

My horse can be a little "enthusiastic" but isn't really strong but the bit is much narrower than my last bit and he is more responsive. It's still a snaffle so not sure would really offer brakes but can recommend the NS universal that I use for XC and showjumping which is defo where I need the brakes! I hack in the team up and would jump in the school in it but would use the universal for help with braking. Sorry if that does't help much?
