Haven't tried it personally but YO tried it on her old horse who has teeth issues. Looks like diahorea and not very appetising at all. Horse ate it for a few days but now will not touch it. Another livery tried it as an alternative to Sugarbeet but again, horse will not eat it.
Stitch loves it! He'd eat it by itself. Very quick, although have to admit it doesn't look very nice. Could just be coincidence but he's a lot calmer since he's gone on this than when I was feeding speedibeet.
Yes I have and I posted on it a few days ago. I have had a few trial sachets from the feed merchant, and my horse loves it. She licks the bucket out. I do put other stuff in with it but it must make a very appetising base for her. I'm going to get a sack on my next trip to the feed merchant.
i like the idea a lot, but my usually piggy horses weren't impressed.
they get alfa oil, full fat soya meal and vits and mins in one bucket (which disappears in mintues) and then 3kg speedibeet in another bucket (stays in overnight) then adlib hay.
i had to get fastfibre one day cos i had no speedibeet left and the useless tackshop i went into (i was away from home) didn't have sugar beet or speedibeet or quickbeet or alfabeet or fibrebeet.....
i went into the stables the following morning to find they had both only eaten half the fastfibre instead of licking the buckets clean....
