Has anyone tried silverfeet hoof oil?

Yes, my friends farrier recommended it and TBH I'm not impressed, it's OK and for some reason my haffy wants to eat it, but the jury is still out for me. I wanted it for a little thrush and I think it probably is better for stable kept animals.

If I were a saddlery I would stock it as I think it will be popular, as it makes the hooves shine and looks like a good product for general maintainance of frogs (just shiny hooves isn't what I wanted and it didn't attack the thrush as I'd hoped with field based horses)

I have yet to try it on my horse but I bought some after several recommedations from others that it was good stuff. Not sure if that's much help!

I bought it for thrush. Its all right but its not the miracle cure they make it out to be.

Its certainly a nice general purpose hoof dressing though :D

I've used silverfeet many times an found it to be great especially as it doesn't contain any harsh chemicals ( peroxide , iodine , formalin ) plus it looks great on the feet and clears up smelly frogs fast ;)
