.......parelli natural horsemanship techniques?

I am thinking of buying the home study kit (cant afford the 5 day course)! Ive got a young horse and I think it would be interesting to try this with her, to try and give her a nice start and to increase our bond.

Have any of you tried it, what did you think?

My horse is quite aloof and a bit rude boyish. How can I bond with him?

I think its up to you. It is one of those horsey things where either people are totally against it or totally for it Im afraid! Personally, I dont do it as I feel that clicker training builds up a good bond simply because you have to spend quite a bit of time working closely with them. However, I know of people who do parelli and think its excellent. I think it purely depends on your mind-set and why you have horses, some people have horses for the bond whereas some of us have them mainly to compete for example.
