Has anyone used an 'Instant Calmer' on a difficult loader?

I used Magic Calmer, the syringe one.

Found it good for the first few times I used it, but still required a bit / lunge line etc.

It's not super strong, but definitely takes the edge off a little

I think practice and training is more effective

but if you need to move a horse and havnt got the time then its worth a try as they usually dont cost very much and shouldnt do any harm. Nettex do one and i rate their products in general, although i have no experience of the calmer specifically.

Thanks.

We've tried everything with this mare and for some reason she protests for 2 hours and then calmly loads!!! I don't want her to be too stressed out as she is currently being treated for a leg injury so would rather she didn't do herself more damage!

NAF magic was the one I was looking for as it seems quite good value (about £3 a syringe when you buy 3). I just obviously don't want her to be too dozy to walk up the ramp! When the vet sedates her she simply plants her feet and doesn't move!!
