Has anyone used Buck Stop

I have never used one but I did see Monty Roberts use one on a really naughty horse at a demo. It pretty much solved the problem but looked really nasty. I guess it comes down to a choice between your safety and your horses comfort?

The one the OP has linked to is not the Monty Roberts one. No idea how it would work.

When I was a teenager, my RI used the MR one on my young pony when he was going through a teenage phase and bronking (nothing was wrong with him, it's really important you now tha 100% 1st). It may not "look" nice, but it worked a treat and never marked him slightly. Wouldn't hesitate to use it again.

It's like anything with animals. You have to persuade them that doing what you want is going to be the easiest way (not saying you should ever inflict pain, that's not what I'm saying) and most comfortable.

Looks like it is supposed to stop horse putting head down. Personally I wouldn't want to restrict natural stretching (we should encourage long & low as a rule!), especially with something like this that will jab them in the mouth.

If horse really has nothing wrong with it (bucking usually means a problem somewhere...) then rider should be riding horse forward and keeping head up. If rider can't do that horse probs needs more experienced rider for a while.
