This is the Smart Worming programme.
I use it and have done for the last three years.
Very good - although I don't test anywhere near as many times as they say you should. I worm with a broad spectrum wormer Spring & October (tapeworm)
and use worm counts about every 13 weeks in between.

yes your right it is the smartworm, thanks for the feedback have got the kit and hopefully get the "sample" off him tomorrow

Well good luck with collecting the sample
Preferably a warm one ( test is more accurate)
In the last 3 years I have only ever had to worm in between Spring & Autumn once for redworm/strongyles. The rest of the time they have had a worm count of zero!
Just goes to show that pumping them with drugs is not necessary most of the time and the little feckers can't build up resistance to wormer

Well lets start from Spring (March). I use a broad spectrum wormer to cover all worm types regardless as the worm counts can't pick up on everything (especially tapeworm). From there I wait around 3 months and do a worm count (June time)
Then another test September. October I worm for tapeworm regardless - I view this as the most important wormer of the year.
January I worm count. And then back to March
This is probably not the right way to do it, but it works for me and my horses have remained worm free.
