This is the Smart Worming programme.
I use it and have done for the last three years.
Very good - although I don't test anywhere near as many times as they say you should. I worm with a broad spectrum wormer Spring & October (tapeworm)
and use worm counts about every 13 weeks in between.
It's great :)

Well good luck with collecting the sample:rolleyes:
Preferably a warm one ( test is more accurate):D:D

In the last 3 years I have only ever had to worm in between Spring & Autumn once for redworm/strongyles. The rest of the time they have had a worm count of zero!
Just goes to show that pumping them with drugs is not necessary most of the time and the little feckers can't build up resistance to wormer :)

Well lets start from Spring (March). I use a broad spectrum wormer to cover all worm types regardless as the worm counts can't pick up on everything (especially tapeworm). From there I wait around 3 months and do a worm count (June time)
Then another test September. October I worm for tapeworm regardless - I view this as the most important wormer of the year.
January I worm count. And then back to March :)
This is probably not the right way to do it, but it works for me and my horses have remained worm free. :)
