Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has used red cell before? if so did you find it at all 'heating' or did your horse get 'fizzy' or silly on it? I want to try it as a little pick me up for my eventer who needs a bit more 'umph' as hes going up the levels but dont want to fizz him up at all.
thanks

i used to feed it to my old jumping mare......brilliant stuff. Didnt make her buzzy but deff more energy in the second class than before.

I have used Redcell in the past but currently use Equine America Propell Plus, it's designed for competiton horses to increase energy (like your after) but it is really just a pick me up for horses lacking in something in their diet, iron usually hence why it's also used for horses recovering from illness, so sometimes it might be worth looking into more if your horse is lacking in energy from his diet, it does include a your vitamins and minerals so be careful because if you are already feeding a seperate V&M supplement in addition to what is in your feed, then obviously you'd need to cut the other supplement out and just use the tonic but double the dose for horses in hard work.

I used to give my gelding propel (but sort of the same stuff!) as a pick me up mid season. There was definately a difference. He would go from being a bit flat in general to being a bit more mischievious, sparky and more enthusiastic when he had it. Deffo worked for him

Apologies for the hijack, but I always wondered what this stuff was for as my horses racing name is 'Red Cell', thanks :)
