Hi, I've seen this advertised on Horse & Country Tv and wondered if anybody had used it, if it is any good etc!
My mare has to be the worse horse ever to get a wormer into

and was looking for an easier option! Any info would be great!

We use it on our yard with great results, best bit is it smells like curry! All the horses love it

[/ QUOTE ]how often do you give it? do you still have to have a fecal egg count one?

I've used it on mine and they love it - much easier than getting chemical wormers in them!

If I remember correctly you feed it about every 13 weeks. It doesn't cover encysted redworms so I worm for them separately and I would recommend having egg counts done just to be sure it's doing what it should (I'd always have egg counts done with any wormer though!)

It doesn't cover encysted redworms as Celia rightly says. Nor does it cover tapeworm. So IMHO you'd be better to worm count Summer and Winter and use something like Pramox as a strategic wormer in spring and autumn. That way both encysted and tapeworms are dealt with at the appropriate times and the counts in between will show if any other worm burdens.

not used it on my horse but bought the game bird one for our pheasants and partridges. Before we used it quite a few died of gapes, not one has afterwards.
