It's as it says really.

I was looking at the spanish sunshine tour results from yesterday and Locarno has won a small tour AM5 (whatever that is) ridden by a German man.

I thought a lady had bought him for Ellen to keep?

I would be very sceptical. I do note he is down as being owned by Amara Whitaker when he 'was' owned by Dawn Makin and Steven Whitaker for Ellen.

Its possible Ellen is competing elsewhere or is injured?! Number of possibilities but I would be seriously surprised to see him sold

Wasn't he in H+H the other day advertising his stud duties? under Steven Whitaker's name. Can't see they would advertise him if he wasn't their's anymore.

Don't forget Elen's is called Locarno 52 and this is probably another horse also called Locarno

Sure it's not 'Locarno 62'

I am extreamly suprised if someone else is competing on him since she has apparently not let anyone else ride him since her farther competed him before she did.
So it seems extreamly weird if it is him with another rider(s).

I noticed this pairing earlier in the Tour results and did a quick bit of research which showed that the Austrian lady was riding a horse called Locarno in Spain last summer when I know that Ellen's Locarno 62 was at home. There are all sorts of errors in those results lists such as the Israeli guy's 1st & 2nd names being the wrong way round, Funnel instead of Funnell, Sir Granditz instead of Sir Graditz, but the wrong Locarno is think the oddest I've spotted so far!

"Rhubarb" left JW's yard last spring. 2002 World Champion Dermott Lennon was riding him last summer and now he's with French veteran Jean Marc Nicolas.
