Has the Kent and Masters leather issue been resolved?

The saddler is due to come out on Tuesday to fit my other horse with a new saddle on tuesday. As we do not have too much money to spend on a saddle we have said that we will either buy a new kent and masters or a second hand saddle up to the cost of the kent and masters.

The only problem is that a few months ago I did a search on kent and masters when buying a saddle for my other horse and there where loads of posts on here about the leather peeling away. I was just wondering if this was still happening as I would hate to buy one and find that it starts peeling.

I got one in the summer and leather started peeling after one ride but dont know how long supplier had had it in stock demanded a replacement which took about 6 months so ended up buying second hand jeffries for less money and have not rwally used the kent and masters as didnt like it to ride in
 
I've got two to go back and be sorted, one brown and one black - I am assured they will be away for no more than a week and that any defective panels will be replaced. Although I bought them around the same time, one was definitely an older model and one was from a more recent run :( Lovely saddles, and apart from this unfortunate leather issue (which is NOT a usual occurrence and one they are committed to sorting out from what I can tell) they are worth the money in my opinion.

I'd suggest raising the issue with your saddle prior to purchase and get their assurance that should you have a problem they will jump on it for you and sort it out.
 
I had to have mine sent back to have the panels replaced as the leather peeled away after only being used 3 times.
The leather is wearing quite badly and I am not impressed. I have really old leather saddles that have been used for years and look as good as new. The K&M saddle looks ropey after a handful of uses.
It was not worth the £750 I spent and I wish I had bought a good quality second hand one tbh
 
Ive had no problems with either of mine. I have the S series dressage since Nov and the S series jump which I have had since Feb.
Both saddles are well used. They have both been through some heavy downpours but I did condition them as soon as I got them and I really look after them.
 
I just thought I would give you all an update.

The Kent and Masters did not actually fit my horse very well so I have ended up buying a second hand ideal event saddle.
