Hat cam footage - where do I send it?

As title. I often hack out on local roads with a friend and I routinely wear a hat cam when I'm hacking of the type which records front and rear views. Today, we had a bit of an incident where a car came up behind us way too fast and passed us way too close without making any apparent attempt to slow down. I have the incident recorded and the registration of the car is clearly visible. But, if I decided to send it to the police or somewhere, where do I send it? I have never had cause to report such incidents before. Thank you.

It varies a bit across the country - lots of forces have "Operation Snap" that is a 10 min form to fill in and upload the footage and the police deal with it from there.

You're lucky if this is the first time - I submit 2-4 drivers a month to the Yorkshire Police operation snap and I only wear my hatcam on one particular hack which has a fast road!

If google can't find an equivalent in your area - give your local police station on 101 and they will be able to help you.

google your area and snap, and you should hopefully be able to report to them.

mine is hants snap

I've reported a couple of handful and i've never had a response! but I've had reported 1 particular family 3 times, as they're driving is wild, and I saw one of them recently and they couldn't have passed me any better if they tried, so I'm wondering if they did get a letter!

I'm Surrey Operation snap and they no longer reply, I used to get an email telling me they were going to investigate and the driver would get a letter/sent on a course/whatever but they've stopped replying because they are so busy:(.

Does anything actually happen as a result, do you know?

In Yorkshire I still get an email each time saying either yes - they are locating the person to give them a penalty or no it didn't meet the criteria this time. 95% of the ones I send in get a yes - so someone gets a letter and fine at best - worse points I guess if they are repeat offenders - I'll get a screen shot now

I couldn't work out how to screen shot so apologies for the photo of my laptop !!

I'd really like the reputation of the small stretch of road I have to use to get to the bridleways, to be that some poxy woman is videoing all the time and the police get 100's of time and effort free road convictions from her.
Maybe eventually they will all start to creep past.

Luckily my horse is a saint - but his newly broken brother will be less forgiving soon.

My record was 3 convictions in one trip up to the bridleway turning which takes under 4 minutes.
