no no you got it all wrong TJP....Its obviously your fault! That poor fox wouldn't have snacked on your hens if you brought them to bed with you so little foxy wouldn't be tempted! you are obviously a very bad person

The fox is probably in a state of deep remorse over his clumsy actions and his terrible mistake in playing a tad too rough with the chickens who he really wanted to make friends with!!

Maybe such a state of remorse that he goes looking for the nearest farmer with a gun!!

I'm feeling deeply sorry for the poor little foxy that killed my Eliza Sunday night & left poor Florence with a bald neck. In fact I felt so sorry that, having spent the afternoon fortifying the hen house & repairing the holes dear foxy had made, I asked my OH to stay up & wait for it the following night. Sadly it was a bit too dark, with no moonlight & he was worried that the counselling he was offering may have been wasted on a pussy cat so he came back to bed.

You need my super hens! They chase of the local fox... Mind you their number has gone from 9 -6 recently (non fox related) so not too sure that they will be so brave.

Will have to get my angora hat (and my terriers) if he comes back. So sorry you lost one of your girls TJP. I hope the end was swift for her and at least she had lots of freedom before hand.

P.S. I think you should send the photos to our dear Troll and ask for his comments...
