This is my mare, she's a 13.3 welsh cob.

Note that she isn't that fat now!

Getting her a libra treeless for hacking out my issue is: she takes a 16" treed saddle but they say treeless's fit the rider so could she wear a 17" ?
Obviously it would be padded appropriately, going to use a suber, polypad and a breastplate with it.

You have to get the treeless saddle that will fit you. Makes vary but if you are a size 14 or plus then you will need the 17" saddle, but check with the manufacturer. Make sure the saddle is sitting forward enough to allow you to sit just behind the whither. The beauty of the treeless saddles is that they don't restrict the shoulder movement so you can position them a little further forward than you might position a traditional treed saddle.

Hope this helps.
