Just checking because I think it's a very bad idea.

So, what else have you given up...

...that is if you've given anything up at all and you believe in this great tradition.

It says somewhere in the bible that a rightous man cares for the needs of his animals.

Eggsactly!!!! :D

Honestly I wasn't suggesting anybody give up - I was doing HHO a service and making sure no-one does anything silly.

After all, someone might. You never know. I'm like a modern watchperson of horses and ponies protecting them from unnecessary lent promises.

Having five horses to do, I could give them up, but I don't think they'd appreciate no dinner of an evening!! :D

I've given up chocolate!! Probably for the best :p

Oooohhhh that's a hard one. Keep going, only a few more weeks to go. I gave up beer last year. Never again.

I kept getting very drunk on Sherry instead.

I have sort of given up horses for a while. Not for lent though, because some clown decided to drive into the back of my car and leave me needing a load of physio.
Once I am sorted out I will try to find a horse to ride for someone again.

Actually feels like I have given up horses for lent. I have been really ill and haven't seen my lad or Fany for nearly a week. Luckily I have an excellent YO and they are on full livery. But I still have Cappy withdrawal symptoms alone with my other ones! Hope to be well enough tomorrow to go and see him.
I just hope he remembers me :p:D

You are supposed to give up frivolous things in Lent like meat and snogging, nobody said anything about things essential to life like breathing or horses:eek:!
