Made your own jumps??

Ive just been scouring e-bay and they are so expensive.
Im sure i could make my own! My Dad is a Carpenter, hopefully he's passed this talent on to me! (Wouldnt ask him as have been asking him to make a canopy on the front of my house for the past year and a half and he still hasn't done it!) Lol!
So could i get away with Wood, a Saw and some "no nails"??? (Dont trust myself with a hammer)!

If you have made your own, could you please post a pic??

thanks!

We made these, well my grandad did for me. about 5 yrs ago, they are still going strong :)

My field has a few 'permanent' XC jumps that the owner made out of pallets/tyres etc. They are really good!

Tyre jump: two tyres each side stacked on top of each other - metal pole balanced on top with tyres threaded through, then two more tyres on the 'side stacks' for stability.

I will try to get some pics of the other 'pallet' jumps.

There are some books - can;t remember the publisher but they are like 'guide to bandaging' and 'guide to lunging' etc.

J.A. Allen maybe?

Well anyway, they are thin little pamphlet type books and they do a XC jump one.

yeah i found a book, might get some wood cheap and have a go! will be fun doing it!
Jadeyandladey could you please put pics up when you have them made?
and rach, what a cracking jump you have there! and im including the horse in that too!

Yes, I did when I was younger, they were very rustic! Me and my mate dragged some long logs home from the local woodland and painted them! They were cast offs and left behind so we had them, we had fun making them, we never did get round to making a whole course as we hoped! :D
