I have found the most fantastic person to loan Owen for over the winter. If I couldve dreamed up the perfect person for him- this girl is it!
She is an incredibly talented rider, young but really amazing and experienced for her age, v.patient, but firm, and Owen fell in love with her straight away and they spent ages having a nice chat together before we took him out to be ridden. That got my first vote because no-one so far who has been to look at him even talked to Owen, or patted him or anything, which I dont like,as Owen is a v.chatty person and likes attention. (sorry I know that is rather sickening for some of you!!
)
This girl will BD and BSJA Owen over the winter, think that they will be ready to go out and compete pretty soon as she just clicked with him straight away (first person ever to do so!)
and she didnt mind at all about Owens quirks with the jumping- she just see's it at a challenge. I also have such faith in her that I've agreed to let her try him XC to see if she has any luck with his XC issues, she has fantastic trainers who can help her.
So she will have him until the Spring- that will be when her own horse will be back in work again following injury- and then I will decide then if I still do want to sell him or keep him- if I do sell then at least he will hopefully have some sort of a competition record with BD/BSJA.
Very excited! This girl will put all the time/energy/training into him that I dont have the time or money to do so this winter. Delivering him next Weds- do hope that it will all work out!
Buckinghamshire peeps- he is likely to be competing at Addington Manor/surrounding centres a lot- so please keep an eye out for him for me!!
