Have I angered the god of horse selling....??

Sometimes you have to wonder if there are gods and they are conspiring against you...
I made a difficult decision to sell my horse, advertised him, had responses and organised people to come see him the following weekend, but then riding him realised he was just a little uncomfortable.. so vet out, he'd tweaked his back, nothing serious, probably messing about in the field.
Three weeks of physio, get him back in work, adverts re-done etc and now I've got ill and no way can show him off to people this weekend... long standing holiday booked leaving next weekend, I am really running out of time!!
So is this a sign I should keep him, or have I angered the gods???
