I know . . . this is a little pervy, but . . .

. . . my baby girl (now 16) has a date for prom! First ever date . . . and he's a boy she really likes. She has her dress . . . we need to find her some shoes and a bag (dress is purple and silver, need silver shoes/bag).

I went to boarding school, so didn't get to do any of this . . .

Bless her, I also went to private school, so did not have this....

However went to a 16th birthday last week ( very posh at the Hilton ) and I got some glittery shoes from next!!! Thought they were a bit naf, but guess what ??? Most other girls were wearing them, so go to next, £30 ish, look fab, I got the 3 inch ones, the younger ones had 5 inch !!!!
 
Thanks both . . . it's certainly bittersweet. I have given her the reinforcement talk . . . condoms, keeping knickers on, not drinking, respecting herself, etc. (yes, I'm a boring Mum) . . . but she really is a very good girl (doesn't drink, smoke, do drugs - and no, I'm not delusional) and I just think this such an exciting time for her . . . her very first date . . . at prom :). I will be there with the camera as they walk the red carpet . . . but I have promised not to be "embarrassing" . . .

. . . I remember so clearly the day she was born . . . the time has flown.
