Just having a quick look at the weather forecast for the next two weeks to plan rugging/hunting etc there is hardly a low temp in sight let alone snow. The daffs are emerging as are the snow drops who thinks this winter will have a sting in its tail and who thinks we have escaped the cold.

I plan to give my mare her last clip next week, you can bet your life that a proper cold spell will happen precisley 12 hours after, around the time I will be setting out on a chilly/fresh/bouncy hack!!!

My daffs are coming through, reckon we'll get a snap in late Feb just to make winter drag on a little bit longer! I am going to try and carry on a little later this year though as i always seem to start slowing down for winter in Septermaber as that's when winter used to seemed to start, now it seems to be more November! Im doing myself out of time there!

I WANT it to get cold. Frosty starts are bliss compared to wind blown and rain soaked not to mention mud up to me eye balls.
Come on folks, I can't be the only one.

A little bit of snow will bring the kid in me out to play - and thats a proper laugh!! Nowt wrong with that either. lol

frosty hard ground I dont mind, its quite nice, but snow? noooo, i hate it. With a passion.

Obviously there is no inner child in me wanting to come out to play :D Only a boring grownup that has several horses to see to and finds snow VERY INCONVENIENT :p

Winter weather in order of my preference:

1. Dry....sun, gentle breeze
2. Frosty...
3. Really heavy frost (the type where you have to break ice more than twice a day)
4. Snow
5. Rain

and items 4 & 5 are only that way round since Litte Fuzzy is not 100%, otherwise snow would be at the bottom of my list instead :)

It wouldn't surprise me if we had snow in july this year considering the randomness of the weather currently! It seriously can't make it's mind up, either be winter and be cold, or be warm, not a mixture of both! Can you tell british weather irritates me? :D

It was just a thing when I was a kid that it always snowed on my friends or dads birthday and I don't think it has missed a year yet though some may have only seen a light dusting and I have moved to bristol since which doesn't seem to get much anyway!

I really don't want any more rain or snow! I don't mind if it's windy or freezing, but I'm sick to death of wading through mud! At least if it's freezing you can stand on it and not ankle deep in it!

It would also be nice to pick my horses' feet out without getting handfulls of mud just from picking their feet up!
