This one is FIRE MAGIC, a rare registered RED purebred Friesian stallion.
He is the only red registered Friesian stallion in the world.

There are a few chestnuts ('red'), or 'fox' friesians around I believe, although as the breed societies don't want to promote the breeding of this colour as it's not 'correct', they seem quite hushed up.
The greys aren't full friesian ;)

Never seen on in the flesh, but they're fantastic! I love how dark the chessies always are, not the wishy-washy colour of most chestnuts..... shame people wont breed for them specifically

I agree :) I like the black ones, but the chestnuts are stunning! :D Being ginger, I also may be a bit baised ;)
Yup, but friesians don't have whatever gene or whatever it is that makes horses grey out normally as far as I'm aware, so there has to be another breed in there to make it possible, unlike with the chestnuts, though the chestnut gene is recessive I think so that makes it rarer?
I'm -trying- to learn about colour genetics but I get confused :o

The last one is not a friesian, or certainly not a purebred!

I have seen the first one advertised as a rare chestnut friesian a lot, but he doesnt look much different to mine when she bleaches in the summer lol

Haha, I'm also ginger, but I dont really like chestnuts, despite having one myself, but hes very light at the moment with a flaxen mane and tail, so is nearly palomino ... ish  but then I also think bays are boring yet have one of those aswell :p

A random comment I know, but thought I'd mention it :)

Random comments are good.... :p
I don't like ALL chestnuts, sorry if I offend anyone, but I really don't like the washed out orange chestnuts that are common in england, and you very rarely get nice, RED chestnuts over about 12hh here o.o
I think with bay it depends on the horse - some suit it :)
I like chessie Andalusians/Lusitanos too.... they tend to be nice :D I'm just fussy I think!
