said you were never going to ride again or similar?

When i was 7 in a group lesson i cantered for the first time(had stupidly told the instructor i had cantered before) I fell off and nearly ripped my earing out, was the first time i had fallen off.
I apparently got up threw my hat on the floor and said I was never getting back on a horse again. I can't remember saying that or throwing my hat but my mum does

I must have not meant it as we now have 3 horses

ETS: I went back to having lessons somewhere else a couple of months later, brought our first horse when i was 18, i'm now 20.

Hahaha bless you -
I did when i was 16 and my horse reared and went over on me, breaking my back and rupturing various discs etc... Of course my love of horses got the better of me and i got my big fat coblet (just sold in summer

i remember my first evr lesson i was 6, i'd been on at my mum for ages after seeing her ride, she said to me 'if you fall off and you dont get back on straight away, then thats the last time you'll ever get to ride a horse!' and i was so keen that had i fallen off i defintly would of got straight back on.
yup i gave up horses for a year nearly 2 actually when i left my groom/instructor job after almost 5 yrs, said i'd never have anything to do with horss again, but well it didnt last and i'm so glad, now i'v got V and he's changed my life x

I did at about 13 when my old pony had to be PTS. I thought I could never ride another pony again. Then, about 6 months later my friend got a lovely cobby creature and i couldn't resist a little hop on... then a few lessons on him... then maybe a few on another horse... then a share... then a full loan!

(now back down to share due to exams etc)

Not with riding!!!!! But when I was 5, I walked out of ballet lessons because I didn't like my teachers glasses. They really were hideous (think very early nineties), I can still remember them nearly 18 years later!!! I have never had another ballet lesson since.
