Nope! I moved yards for a reason, well, for several but the yard i am at now is a much quieter yard which is ideal for me to work in and i still get to ride

Absolutely, am regretting it right now. But i did have to move house and old yard was too far away to commute to. Very unhappy with current yard but moving very soon to a friends place.

My tip is only move is you are really unhappy with a place. Do the facilities at the new yard really matter to you? Have you managed without them so far? I think good YO can make a place and I would rather stay somewhere where I like the people (and trust them with my horse) than risk moving to somewhere where facilities are better but the people are ar***s! My friends yard has less facilities but luckily I have transport so I figure there are plenty of xc places within a short box ride.

Don't move unless you have to - plus telling people you like you are moving is very hard to do!!

Yes & No

1st yard was a tip, owned by a know nothing, and run by brown nosers ~ was so glad to get out of there ~ stupidly let them know I was going too early, and lots of my stuff went walkabout!!

2nd yard, I only moved as I was moving away. Loved that place, still friends with YO and her hubby. Some people hated it, and hated YO and her family, but I get on with most people so I guess I was lucky ~ my big 'orse loved it there, but pony was bit overwhelmed

Now got my own yard in the back garden. Big 'Orse had to be sold, as he was sooo unhappy at being at such a little place, and after a year still hadn't settled. Pony absolutely loved it, and after 5 years of owning her ~ she finally whinnied at me ~ and hacked out on her own!

My tip, don't do it in a fit of pique, follow your gut instincts and don't follow all your mates!!
