conformation critiques?

It's something I have never asked anyone for before but wondered if you'd take a look at my boy;

Sorry that the photos are not as ideal as they could be.

He is perfect!!!

I don't think I can fault him!

He is beautiful, nice shortish canons, not uphill or down, good space for saddle and decent space behind jaw for accepting bridle correctly, neck put on really nice and high. I can't tell from your pics how broad he is inside hind legs and chest, or how his hocks are positioned, looks pretty square. Good feet, well shod.

All I can think of to criticise is perhaps his shoulder is very slightly upright, but that really is a miniscule thing and they are not bad by any means.

Is he a comfy ride in trot?

How old is he? He looks nicely developed muscularly.

He was 11 when these pics were taken (last summer).
Despite his conformation he has a hock spavin which he has had for a few years!!
His biggest fault is that he is pigeon toed....!! (Not sure if you can see from this photo)
Thanks everyone for the lovely comments - I'll tell him, I hope his head doesn't expand past the size of the stable door!

He is stunning. My one criticism would be that the large white polypad detracts from his gorgeous-ness - I'd go for a much smaller numnah if he was mine.

Hes awful and i think it would be best if he came to live with me. Im only thinking of you.

Seriously He is STUNNING!!!!

I want to know "how do you get him so clean & shiney" ?
I have a coloured 3 year old (mainly green, pink (red soil !) and brown !) and I never think she has the shine that the others (plain bays) have.

Well the first picture was taken when he was competing at Hickstead in his first dressage (unaff) regionals. I was such a proud mum. My friend competed him so I took great pride in doing the turnout. I think I am a total perfectionist when it comes to that! I can't recall which shampoo I used but it was that which should take the credit for the shine! I have problems getting his legs white, normally use purple shampoos but they are not always great. There is a normal shampoo (stain removing) from Carr, Day and Martin which is pretty cheap and really good. If I get really desperate I use chalk!!
Normally he rolls in a big poo overnight which is always great the next morning at 5am!!
