Hi everyone.

My name is kirsty and I am a freelance writer.
I am currently putting together a piece about equine security and am looking for someone to use as a case study. I am looking for someone who has had their horse/s stolen and has been re-united.

If you are happy to talk to me about your experience I would really love to hear from you.

Thanks guys, hope to hear from some of you soon.

Hi Kirsty,

We have dealt with lots of cases of horses on loan going missing and have traced them and reunited them with their owners, we recently(Dec 2009) recovered a horse from Telford that was stolen in Norfolk in May 2008, a horse watch member went and saw the horse became suspicious and went home and checked the stolen horse register.

We have had a case we would love to highlight of a horse sold on loan in Sheffield that ended up in Scotland, the police charged the lady with theft but never recovered the stolen property (ie Tim) because it was in Scotland, he luckily came home for Christmas with our help.

We have also exposed a "horse rescue" charity that take in horses saying they will care for life and are actually selling them and not declaring them in their end of year returns. They are also repassporting them to conceal their identity and are also signatories for the passport agency!!!

There are so many things we want to highlight and we need to get it out there! Please help? If you are interested please contact us.

Hi Katie,

Thank you for your information, but I have literally just got off the phone with someone who agreed to let me use their story.

I have also spoken to someone from a Horse watch group so the organisation will be highlighted in the piece.

Thats a shame, my story would have been a good one!!!!! Im Tims owner and think that the people need to know about what goes on and who dont give a damn!!!!!! We are just a minority trying to reclaim what is rightfully ours with a lot of red tape and pats on the back (Police) with no result, until pressure is applied to trading standards etc etc etc. Missing Horses on Loan, You Rule !!!!!!XX
