I had a showjumping saddle that i loved because it was sooo comfy and was devestated when i didn't fit my new horse. So i had it narrowed and re-stuffed and because it looked a bit tatty i dyed it black, it looked almost new. Just wondering if any one else has done anything like this, or have an old bridle altered.

Yes - mine has a heat re-mouldable tree, so when he changes shape, they pop it on the machine & adjust it. Had it re-flocked a couple of times too - again - to allow for change in shape / muscle. The saddle is only a couple of years old though - so not a repair / renew job.

I had to have my gp saddle widened as my girl was changing shape and muscling out, also had it reflocked. It is now lovely, so comfy and fits her perfectly :D

Yes. I had a Saddle Company saddle made to measure for my Clydesdale mare, who later had to be pts. The IDx brought her own saddle with her but saddler thought it was too small for me at 171/2" and that I needed 18", so I had SC saddle remodelled for her.
