If so how did you find it? Has it worked wonders or sometimes does it not help?
Can you tell me the severity of your horses problem and what the results were please?
Also a rough idea of cost would be helpful although I understand this could be a "how long Is a piece of string" question.
Did you do back strengthening work first? Ie- pessoa or similar? I was advised to as my horse has been out of work a long time but he wont lunge safely and I only have muddy fields so not the idea place for a scary lunger!
I figure once medicated I could start ridden work and get him working properly through his back after the jabs instead of before?
Any opinions/ experiences would be lovely thanks.

Yes I think he was eighteen he had had a long career doing HDT the first symptom was him being' flat 'in the carriage work he loved pulling the carriage he never showed any bad behaviour ridden but came out stiff at his last dressage session after which I stopped formal lessons with him then the physio picked it up on his roultine treatment he went straight into the vets was xrayed and mild kissing spines where found they corresponded to a sore area he had when I first bought him at thirteen which was thought to be caused by a badly fitting driving saddle .
He had steriod injected into the area two courses of Tildren and went on to hunt lightly which he loved .
I did a lot of flat work with him before and he had a very well muscled back very strong indeed once diagnosed we did a lot of riding and leading with him ,stretching work in the school and lunging over poles no Pessoas ugh I hate the things we jumped little grids too.
Something else ended his ridden work .
As to costs the Tildren was in the region of £750 each time the injections and diagnosics perhaps £500 .
He had fortnightly physio vists while hunting I used equissage and learnt some techniques to do myself .
We had Danilon to give him if I felt he was sore in any way I used to give one after hunting .

So expensive! My story is similar in a way, I always knew he had a problem but back people always said ex-racer wear and tear. Until I tried a new chiro who sent us straight for x rays.
Its only one of his problems!
Im trying to work out which one of my two knackered horses is my best bet to keep going for a while longer to accompany my daughter whilst her horse is so green.
Thanks for your reply x

My horse has had this done on twice due to kissing spine. The first very successful, like switching a light bulb, lasted about 2 years and I could do everything I wanted with him afterwards, then his behaviour switched again very suddenly so repeated hoping for the same result. The x-rays showed that the first was still a success but that the problem had shifted further back, unfortunately the second did not work so well so he is having a bit of a break just now then I will try to start bringing him back into work again.
I think the cost was about £300 each time.

It was expensive but it gave us more time and he loved work .
Finally it was foot trouble that stopped him working it did not respond to treatment and he was field sound but lame the next day after work we retired him , he just faded went from boss to underdog it was so sad he lost all his sparkle I tried stabling him at night on competition roultine it did not work .
I had him PTS coming into the winter the treatment was worth it money wise for the extra time we had.

I paid just over 500 for xrays and injection of five sites on my horse. The reaction was instant and miraculous.

And lasted three whole weeks, after which he was far worse than he had ever been.

He's now had the newish ligament resection operation and is going from strength to strength. We are on four weeks ridden this week. The op cost 1530.

Same for my chap, although he is old he is just not happy without his work. Got to the point where he would jump out of the field and come and meet you up the road when you were on the way back from hacking, so even to get back to gentle hacks would be good.
