Just been looking at horseboxes on the internet following my 'maybe downsizing fad' and came across a competition to win one. Its £20 a ticket and you can win a horsebox worth £100k. Its on ABI Horseboxes website and Im going to have a go, (you never know) Has anyone else entered and if so are the questions difficult?

I wasn't sure about it. You have to pay £20 and will then be given half a dozen questions to answer. They could be really difficult to answer. There is no way of knowing. Also what happens if they don't sell enough tickets to cover the cost of the box?

There has to be an element of skill to keep within the law. Looks fine to me, I might get a ticket!

Certainly looks dodgy to me. I will not be buying one, sure there was something about a house done this way and it was not legal.

Ahem, its not all all dodgy, that really is not a nice comment. A hell of alot of work has gone into this. Its taken over 6 months to set up and get the complancies.

We are a legitimate Ltd company with a good reputation.

We have had all our T and C set by our lawyers and its has been approved by the gaming commission. Under the gaming laws yes we have to set questions because it is a game of skill not a game of chance but the answers are easily findable on the internet.

All the terms and conditions are on the website so you can see it works within all the laws, we are doing nothing like the "dodgy" house auction, that was illegal because it wasnt approved..

We have to sell 6000 tickets so for a 100K win the odds are better than the lottery.

They have drawn the raffle for that house this week.

They had to postpone it while it was investigated by the Gaming Comission, and they decided that decided that it was legal.

BSJAlove & Collina.......'Dodgy' ?

Since when has a company like ABI Horseboxes been 'Dodgy', sometimes it's better to think before you post something of this nature.

Rebecca at ABI is a really nice helpful person. She really values the reputation the company has built up over the years & anything they do will be well thought out & completely legitimate. They will do nothing to damage the reputation they have.

There was a bit in our local news this week, someone has won a really nice nature site with fishing lakes etc... tickets for that went at £25.00, that was all above board and legal.

Did not mean to offend and yes ABI are a very good company and would not dispute that.. I have taken a look at their website and yes they have all the legal requirements.

thank you toby Z and Madam max, this prize draw has taken a hell of alot of work to put together - the idea came to me after a few too many vinos !!!- but i thought how fantastic would it be for somebody to win a lorry for a minimum of £20.00 stake.

Many people would love a lovely lorry but simply cant afford it, this way some lucky person will win that dream.

Of course it had to be watertight - i cannot afford to ruin the reputation of ABI, so we emplyed one of the largest law firms in the UK to put all the legalities together.

Good luck to all of you that enter.

Usually what would happen is that the winner will get the money (whatever has been raised) if it is not enough for the lorry.

I'm gunna get a ticket
