I had a lovely ride out thanks to NAF shake relief and happinose balm (thanks to whoever suggested them) - Orks redemed himself after cantering off to the fit new mare when I tried to catch him then stomping on my toe which is now a nice shade of purple.

Off to the pub for some pain relief now ;-)

Weather is holding out down here and it's not too hot - what have you all been up to?

:p nope it is not lovely! I am currently sulking 'cos I have a poorly finger from a packing related incedent! And am sitting in my uni room surrounded by boxes :(

But it is lovely and sunny outside..... :D

Is it a holiday?Did the same as any other day, went to work mucked out 25racehorses,swept yard, came home

Yes, thank you!

Went out for a hack at 7.30 - lovely and quiet on the roads and just right temperature-wise...

Damn' killer pigeons everywhere this morning, though... hundreds of the blighters, jumpin' out of trees with their big pointy teeth ready to sink in a poor horsey's jugular....

(Doesn't usually bat an eyelid at them! Must be cos it's a Monday....:D)

Good day so far:

Moved about 40 bags of rubble / gravel from a neighbours garage to our field in the trailer, and then tipped most of the contents onto the ruts and holes in our lane.

Had a look at the field full of foals and mums (more foals by the day) and saw an new addition, a tiny little grey with chestnut mane and ears. Then went for a hack, but both H and I were a bit lack lustre after yesterdays fun ride in Cirencester.

Just ordered some photos on line from the fun ride, they are a bit cr*p, but they will be a nice reminder of the day; one of my OH and Fol and another of H and I.

Now I'm knackered and I think I'll have a snooze in front of the telly :D

Yup lovely, although i'm on study leave :/ Don't think the bank holiday is in scotland aswell... but i had a lovely ride out on buzz this morn and now lying outside with the laptop! couldn't be better...should really be doing revision though! :L

Lovely thanks, three lie ins :D

Despite up and down weather, went for a nice hack yesterday with trainer on his best mare and accompanied by his 3 dogs. I love the fact he canters his potential GP horse through our orchards without stressing!

Today I schooled my boy and he was really good. Just been organising shows so lots to look forwards to! Possibly going out for dinner later also. Weather still miserable, boo.

Took the oap pony to her 1st ever show at the grand old age of 26 yesterday and came 3rd in in hand veterans...I feel a little ridden showing coming on...and been doggie showing today...jrt won the veterans, baby springer won the puppy class and big springer won the pedigree class and got best in show so good weekend all round...now just for the tiddly pony to have her foal tonight and all will be perfect...no signs of her obliging on that score though :(

Glad to hear everyone is having a good one and laughing at the ''killer'' pigeons.

Pity it's back to blumin work tomorrow, but at least a 4 day week (well for us office monkeys anyway!)
