Having a wobble.

Is it normal to have a wobble after putting a deposit down on a horse.

I lost my beautiful mare a few months ago and have decided it was time to look for a new pony.

Since lockdown restrictions have been lifted i have been to view quite a few Ponies. Obviously sticking to the social distancing rules.
None were right until Saturday when i went to view a mare who is absolutely perfect for me and my family.
I left knowing that she was the one for us and put a deposit down on her the next day.

I obviously need to get her vet checked and go back to view again but i didn't want her to be sold in the mean time.
Now I'm wondering if have done the right thing even though i know she is exactly what we are looking for.
Is it normal to feel like this. I haven't bought a pony for over 10 years.
 
YES

anything with any financial implications makes most people feel a bit wobbly....

Horses are sentient creatures so it’s normal to worry are they what they say on the tin.

Anyone with an ounce of ability to think critically will be a bit wobbly about a new partnership especially if you haven’t had a horse for so long.

All normal, aids with making good judgements I think.

I have done everything that is advised when buying a horse so i hoping that she will be as they have described.
From what i have seen she is but who knows. There are so many miss sold stories. I just hope im not going to be one of them.
 
Course it is, looking forward to the pictures :) I'm sure she will be fab but yes of course it's perfectly normal, its a big step but she sounds like she will be a great asset and you will have years of fun together
 
Yes! I was so stressed the night before I got my first horse I spent most of it crying! :oops:

Very different but I did exactly the same the night before (and week after) I got my puppy. Best decision we made in hindsight however!

Don’t forget to allow time to “settle in” as they can sometimes not be who you thought they were if they aren’t used to moving around x
