Got to let my gorgeous girl go in the morning, she has a tumour in her armpit and she is no longer comfortable moving around. The rest of her is perfect and gorgeous and she is only ten. Going to be horrid without her.

I echo elsiecat. Be brave for her, she knows nothing of what tomorrow brings, cuddle her, spoil her, and give her so much love but be brave for her.
Thinking of you in the morning

I've got to have my springer put down in the next few days, if they're uncomfortable it's for the best and you're doing the right thing. She won't be in anymore pain once she's passed and it's nice to remember them before they get really really bad. Sending you both a big hug

Thank-you, I know it's right but crying a river right now. She will have a hydro session first as she can still manage a swim and I have her booked in for 8.30. Vet will come to the house about 11am. I have a fantastic friend who is coming to hold my hand. OH is on leave from work but is going in 'cos he can't bear it! Be glad when it's this time tomorrow.
Planning an afternoon pony ride to take my mind off her. Pony will help too!

We lost a special dog to tumor on his liver at 7, it crept up on us and took us by surprise, so hard, thoughts are with you, it is not easy to let go, but the right thing to do.

Will be thinking about you and your beautiful dog.

So very sorry but you're doing the right thing and so 'glad' to hear you are having her done at home in her own surroundings which will be less stressful for you both. Take care and cherish your memories.

She's got stewing steak for breakfast and she will have chicken breast and primula cheese for the deed! She sure is a foodie!

So sorry to hear this but absolutely the right decision and your intention of spoiling her rotten and having the vet out to your home. Glad you will have a friend out to support you and I hope the pony ride helps ease your pain.

I am so sorry you are having to face this, it is the hardest part of owning a dog. I think your plans for her last morning are lovely, she is a very lucky dog to have such a caring owner.

So sad, I love my spaniel to bits and hate that she is getting old.

I hope everything goes OK for you both and she enjoyed being spoilt.

JDx

I hope it all went as well as it could. Have a good cry into pony this afternoon- my heart goes out to you.
We will be having parents Newfy put to sleep in next couple of weeks i think. X

feeling myself welling up - what allovely owner you are

she will be so grateful for her last meal and what you are doing for her

sleep well x

Peaceful dignified end for a gorgeous girl. She had a whole pack of chicken while the vet did the deed, lying on the sofa being cuddled. Run free beautiful Jess.

What a lovely way for her to go, in complete comfort, being spoiled rotten and with her dignity intact. Well done you. Take care of yourself now x
