Having posted about being asked to ride friends horse while she was on hoiday Followed by being asked to do the yard due to holiday overlap I have been texting so that she knows all is ok.

I have asked her if she minded me swapping bits on her mare who charges around like a chieftain tank and she was more than happy. Result I have managed to get decent trot and trot to walk transitions with a very light hand hoorah. Nearly had my eye out when she got tired and started throwing her head around fiercely which was fixed by lots of loose rein work in walk.

So I update my friend who is having major problems with work and a recently widowed mother and she says that I mustnt feel obligated but would I mind continuing to ride her mare when she gets back.

She doesnt want me to worry about sweeping up feeding and poo picking she'll just be happy if I ride which is of course nonsense because I couldnt leave it all for her.

Result!!

OK so I mistyped the title!!

And this from the woman who was giving up horses! :D :D lol, So glad to hear that you are still so much in the loop and that you and friend have been able to help each other so much, brilliant result! :)

I am glad to hear things have worked out for you, you sounded so fed up when you gave up your youngster! :D

As my man said it was like buying a Ferrari and realising you only wanted to tow a caravan but then I have always wanted to drive a Ferrari so maybe I had better save that as a dream too!
