Edit - the above title should say Hawick ( North West ). Thanks.
A friend and I are looking at trail riding the circular route around Hawick (Buccleuch country Rides) and I am looking for another stop over for probably just 2 riders. I have ridden the route before and I have found 2 stopovers so far but want to break it up more and find at least another one. This would be for early July this year.
I really need a field or 2 stables and accomodation for 2 people (either on site or nearby) and a means of an evening meal (nearby pub/takeaway/lift into Hawick/homemade?). However if our start/stop point I could use the lorry to sleep and cook in, if you could accommodate the lorry for 3 days for me.
As we already have 2 stopover points I am looking for somewhere in the area of the A7 leading out of Hawick near Muirfield would be ideal as the ride crosses the A7 in this area. If you would be able to put up a couple of riders and horses for a night or recommend any livery facilities which may do so I would love to hear. Private or business. I have usually paid around £50 per night per rider (bed and breakfast) and horse accomodation (stable or paddock) .
Please message me if you would like further info. I can provide references
