Hay belly?!

Best protein supplements for my horse who has a hay belly. I’ve heard that Forage Plus is the best but they have ALOT of different protein supplements, so I’m unsure as to which would be best?

He lives on a track on a hay only diet (no grass). He doesn’t need any hard feed as he’s pretty hardy and a good doer. Are you able to feed supplements without a hard feed?

No to feeding supplements without hard feed. They are a powder. Maybe a wet chaff like apple chaff to add them to? We just get some high fibre cubes and stick the supplements in with those and a splash of water. I'm using the Whey protein for my mare who needs supplementing. It's pricey though! I have talked to people who say that pea protein is good, if that helps?

Ah, thank you! And yes it is pricey 🙁 He’s my big baby though so if it’s the best for him I’ll get it 🙂
