Hay fever tablets for horses

Thought about it but looking at the size of my hayfever tablets and the size of my horse she would need about 10 packets a day :D which I would have to take out a bank loan for! :p
 
Yes, my vet told me to use chlorphenamine tablets, piriton. My pony suffers with allergies and these really help. When she's bad, she gets 30 per day, 15 in each feed but now, she's doing ok and can get by on 12 per day. I'd speak to your vet before giving your horse medication, these tablets can make them very drowsy and give them a dry mouth. :-)
 
Also I doubt 1 tablet would have any effect on your horse to be honest. My pony is only 11h and she has a min of 12 per day.
