Please please make sure hay nets are not tied up too low.
There was nearly a terrible accident when one of the horses got cast AND caught his shoe in the hay net.
A lucky set of coincidences people at the yard later than normal, haynet near a window, a sharp pair of scissors and a quick thinking YO saved the horse. Freak accident and luck was on his side. Phew a happy ending.
 
I'm glad the horse is ok. We only ever use a haynet for travelling because our first RI told the horrific story of, as a child, being unable to stop a pony hanging itself with a haynet before she could get help. Vile things!
