I have the choice at the new yard to feed either hay or hayledge. Both look nice, I think she would prefer hayledge. Is there any nutritional difference between the two - I take it hayledge is more fattening though?

You have to feed less haylage as its got higher sugar value then hay. But, The haylage Must be of good quality. Marksway range is lovely and VERY Good Quality.

Not strictly true - I spoke to Marksway today who told me their High Fibre Horsehage has less sugar than hay. They do a range so they will all have different feed values.

There is a higher water content in haylage, so by weight you should actually feed more haylage to provide the same amout of forage / fibre.
