We fed Hi Fi to the Section A last winter as his missing teeth meant eating hay was almost impossible for him, he wasn't interested in haylage either. He used to get a bucketload's worth, which I think is about a kilo. There was always a little bit left in the morning. He kept his condition over the winter on it, so it worked for him. Sadly he had to be PTS in April.

Don't know whether this helps but my fatty is at 540kg on the weightape she is in for 7/8 hours in the day and has:
1kg of hi fi lite (very wet of course!)
(just under) 1kg of soaked hay in a small holed net.

The chaff keeps her belly full so she rarely finishes her hay.

If she was in overnight I'd probably feed 1.5kg of chaff and 1.5kg of hay- but thats just a guess!
