How much are people paying for hay and straw?

£1 for straw and I bought my hay off field in May for £1.50 - although I believe its around £4 a bale around here at the moment - South East Essex

Hay, Big round bale £15 delivered.

Horses living out so don't need straw.

Thank you - mine was off the field for £1.50 but think i am going to run out!!

Although we have been buyig big round hay for the broodmares in the field and it has gone up to £25 a bale just for field hay!!

We have sold our small bale hay for £3 a bale to our regulars but £3.50 a bale to new customers this year.
Straw I paid £1.20 a bale, but that was delivered and stacked in the barn. (We don't have a baler etc so have to pay for straw even though live on a farm - bad planning.

Hay £4 delivered and stacked. Don;t use straw but believe the current rate is about £2 a bale. Shavings are about £9 a bale.... Bucks/beds/herts borders.

Prices at the moment are about £1.50-2.00 for straw and £3-50 for hay although it is getting higher as it seems to be in demand to low stocks. (Prices stated above are for small square)

£2.50 per bale of straw. £20 per large bale haylage, delivered, is that average for haylage?
