hay vs haylage amounts

I've run out of hay, and until I get some more, will be needing to feed Haylage to my 15:2 IDX.

He usually has as much hay as he can stuff down his ample gullet, plus 1.5 scoops of pasture mix plus balanced chaff twice daily.

How much haylage should I be feeding him? Can he have it ad-lib? Should I cut down on the hard feed?

Any opinions gratefully received.

Yes he can have ad-lib but I would be inclined to reduce his hard feed.

My 7/8th's TB is a good doer and only in light work and gets haylage and happy hoof and looks like a show hunter at the moment so if yours hold weight well you may need to ration the haylage slightly!
