Hay weigher

Got one on eBay for a fiver thought it may be too good to be true and it is. It's completely off. It says it goes to 20kg so because I felt it was off I stuck 20kg on it and it's coming in at approx 8kg.

Is it just new and needs stretched out a bit or is it just cheap crap ? I've emailed the seller but no reply yet.

When we were weighing sheep to send to market, we used the bathroom scales, I held the sheep, it was amazing, after a few dozen sheep I knew if they were light or finished.. I suggest you use a luggage scale, about £3.50 in Morissons.
 
Do they do lbs?

I had one of those but couldn't find it so got this. I'll be blooming sending it back!
 
I use a luggage scale from Aldi. Can't imagine a hay weigher would be anything other than a luggage scale rebranded and repriced for the horsey market!

It looks snazzy tho haha. I would never put £15 for one which is why I got the £5 on eBay. Live and learn!
