Today I got my lovely husband to make me a haybar for my stable, using a rubber mat, some batten a few screws and some penny washers. You can make 2 haybars out of one mat and it cost me less than £40. So here is the finished article.

I made one similar, but used wood instead of rubber, looks so much better your way, wish I had thought of that!

I have to confess, I pinched the idea from my trainer, but I modified it and mine look a lot neater

My OH put my haybar up and its crooked!!!!! I think his brain would have exploded if I had asked him to make one. Although if for some reason he reads this I am of course very grateful.

Oh that looks great - we are putting together some pieces of wood to be put up shortly across a corner, that looks like a much better idea. My lovely neighbour who is doing it for me would be heartbroken if I told him to scrap it I've found a better idea. But that looks as though it will work really well.
