your thoughts would be appreceiated

We didnt buy them we made them!! just in the corner of the box we put a panel of padded wood so it created the corner you get wit a hay bar!
The horses love it and it cost next to nothing!
Will try and take some pics for you.

Love mine.
Holds ebough haylage for my big horse, but i always top it up before i leave the yard.
I tried feeding off the floor but my mare just mixed it into her bed, however with her haybar she doesn't.

I love my haybars... both girls don't drag it out (although one did to start with) and Grace's topline increased by using them rather than tugging at a net hung from a ring higher up

We made the wooden ones in the corner but my chap rolls for queen and country and hurt his leg on it (it had a metal strip on the top) so I put in a hay bar, heaps better, holds more haylage/hay. I'm hate haynets with a passion and always fed on the floor but the dogs use to nip in a pee up his haylage - (he has a chain on his door until last thing at night) so the haybar has helped with that problem as well.

My horses love theirs!

Beau would trample and poo on his hay if it was on the floor, and used to manage to get his feet tangled up in nets, I wouldnt have anything else now.

They are great for Lance too as he is quite violent and greedy with his nets, I always worried about him putting his back out!

My boys are 17.3hh and 16.2hh and the size ofthe hay bar is perfect for them both.

My donk can cope with the height but dislikes getting his head in as he likes to keep watch on his surroundings, same problem if his water bucket gets too low as well.

If you have a tidy eater they are great and will hold a lot of hay/haylage but my mare just chucks the entire contents on the floor and spreads it through her bed. Friends horse when using my stable for a while thought it was great, she ate from it so daintily and didn't drop a strand! Mine's an expensive rug rack, friend's OH made her some at a fraction of the cost!

We're going to put haybars in but haven't as yet. My friend made his own out of rubber matting. He also left the bottom clear so it can be cleaned out, the haybar has a fixed bottom and he didn't like that idea as it meant it would be more difficult to keep clean. I really like the idea of them.

That is a section B, even the shetty can eat out of our pony sized ones. A section a is fine with it, I think it is because he has a longer neck than our shetty.

Does anyone use one with a cribber? Do they just crib on it?

Also can they cope with an ID virtually sitting on it to rub his (large) bum?

My OH has made wooden ones for my stables. He's put a pull out shelf on the bottom so it can be emptied if necessary.
