Am I the only person who keeps having problems with their haygain boiler? I've just come home and my third (or is it fourth) boiler in less than 18 months has started leaking at the seal. (They all go the same way).

Is it the water where I live that corrodes the seal or is it a design fault. Notwithstanding the moaning I get from the OH about the electricity it uses he loves to point out how unrealiable the boilers are!

Haygain always respond quickly and have replaced the boiler each time with no problem, but I am really don't know what is happening to them!

The hardness of your water definitely has an effect on the old boilers. They have developed a new boiler which deals with hard water better - there was an article in H&H a few weeks back on it. You can upgrade to the new type just give them a call. I did and the new one is great, reckon its quicker aswell.
