Haylage again sorry

Hi can anyone recommend the length of time haylage should be kept for before it is stored?
My mare is prone to Collic so I need to be extra careful.

sorry, not sure I completely understand the question!

Once the bale is opened is will need to be used up within 4-8 days depending on where it is stored and what the weather is like

Unopened bales will easily keep 12 months, often longer. just make sure birds/mice don't make holes in the wrap

6-8 weeks -so you should be ok to feed it now, but if you are worried leave it a bit longer to be absolutely sure.
