Haylage bale sizes

Random question if anyone can help.

Haylage bales that are about 5ft long and 3ft wide roughly how long would you expect them to last 3 horses and a shetland?

This is the first year I am buying my own stuff in and am trying to get prices ready to get stock for the winter. I am getting a quote off one guy but he has now confused me as they are not the normal round bales.

A normal round bale lasts my 3 horses and 2 shetlands just under a week in the winter if that is any help??

Ask him what weight they are, or how many to the tonne

If they're tight bales, i'd guestimate 4 days if they're eating it 24/7. I think they call them Hestons?
