We don't tend to put our horses out on the haylage field, as it is a different mix of grass to meadowgrass. The only reason we don't is because it is a much shorter root and the horses tend to rip it out of the ground. When we have put them on one of the fields we usually wait about a week after it has been cut so any excess of the sprayed additives has diluted by then.
am i right in thinking that once a field has been cut for hay then the grass growing back will be richer than long grass? if so, i guess its best not to put a lamanitic on it?
