My new girl is currently being fed only haylage (i'm getting her on loan). I'd like to keep it that way as she looks well on it. How much are big bales and small bales of haylage and what sizes are the roughly? Only ever been on one yard that fed haylage. It was big bale and we all paid for ad lib! Plus it was down south. Its not included in my new livery :(

I pay £25 for a big 4' round bale of haylage, including delivery. However as it is difficult to get hold of at the moment you may have to pay more. My haylage man isn't taking on new customers, infact he is now refusing to deliver to those who he has to chase to pay, and also those who waste it!!!!!! In previous years I have fed adlib, but this year I am having to be far careful.

Im at the base of fulmart feeds who make equilage so i get it a teensy bit cheaper than the shops.

think it retails about £5. something though. its fab stuff but no big bales available. hes based in claxton near york and will deliver.

Will also 2nd Fulmart - great product & consistant quality.
We have regular loads delivered to the Ilkley area - they also provide our woodchip bales.
Suggest buying in bulk direct, rather than from a feed merchant.

If you only have one horse, the big bales won't keep long enough for you to get through it.

I pay £27 for a big round bale delivered gone up a little this year supply and demand issues but its fantastic haylage ive never had a bad bale, smells delicious lasts well and my picky mare will eat it!
Shes only a 15hh skinny thing and i give her a large haynet every night and bale usually alst me 4-5weeks depending on if i have to feed extra in paddock on snowy days but always has a full net in her stable each night and extra on floor if she comes in early due to naf weather where located in east leeds, theres a few suppliers locally for around the £25-30 mark but its getting the good stuff and getting it delivered

We have a good supplier in Otley that will deliver (charges unless you get a decent load) fairly locally, charging £30 haylage, has plenty and is nice stuff. We used him all last year 4/5 bales a week and have never had a bad bale off him, pm if you want the number
