Once fermented, how long is the 'shelf-life' of a small bale of haylage?

Do you mean before it's opened? How long can you store it?

yes, unopened - how long will it last?

Then ones made last year were still fine this spring.

Our YO is using haylage that is over 2 years old now and although it looks a bit manky, her horses are ok! I wouldn't feed it to mine but I think it was manky haylage to start with tbh.
