I cant find my spring balance and was wondering if anyone knew what a full haynet of haylage weighed?

I know haynet sizes can vary, as can haylage but just need an approximate idea.

So, anyone know what approximately a normal sized haynet filled with haylage would weigh?

Thanks

Crikes, you donut! It depends on the water content of your haylage!!!! Some can be up to 50% water so a big net of haylage can weigh 4-8kg but you are only feeding 2-4kg of fibre. So, is your haylage wetter or dryer? Just feed the nag lots and he'll live, you probably won't over do it at this time of year.

Yes, i realise that! I just need a rough idea. Im trying to work something out for a friends horse, which will be double checked when i find my balance!

I always feed ad lib but her horse has special needs and so am having to be very specific.
